2016 was a great year for beauty and it was so hard deciding what my favourite products of the year have been! I tried to whittle it down as much as I could so here is my Best Of Beauty 2016!

Make-up: I tried to split my favourites up into categories and makeup was, obviously, the biggest section!
1) The Nivea Men's Sensitive Post Shave Balm has been widely tested by many YouTuber's and I was no different. If you are looking for a cheap primer that makes your makeup last longer, this is the product for you.
2) The L'oreal Lumi Magique Cushion Foundation was a great find and I think it has to be my favourite foundation ever! Even though it has low-medium coverage, it is buildable and makes my skin look airbrushed and flawless.
3) I have had my Laura Geller Balance 'N' Brighten Powder Foundation for a long time but I never really used it on it's own because of my dry skin. But this Summer on my holiday to Disneyland I used this over the top of my moisturiser to give a flawless (but still glowy!) base. I don't find this foundation settles into fine line and it doesn't dry out my skin.
4) I often overlook Barry M makeup as I normally beeline straight for their nail varnishes but this year I received a free Afterglow bronzer when spending £5 on their polishes. Even though I only tried this as an added extra, it quickly became my favourite because it gives a really nice, warm, subtle glow to the skin.
5) Another bronzer I used all the time last year was the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish. Even though it is on the pricey side, it is super pigmented and completely matte. Although it is quite warm toned I can use this for bronzing and contouring.
6) The Urban Decay Naked Palette is a tried and true favourite of pretty much every makeup maniac ever but I only discovered it last year. Although I think it is very expensive for an eyeshadow palette, it has the perfect combination of colours and is perfectly suited to travelling and quick make up looks.
7) Makeup Geek eyeshadows are incredible and I think I use Peach Smoothie in nearly every eyeshadow look I do. They are buttery and soft and blend out incredibly well. There is a fantastic range of colours and they are such a great price!!
8) I have never been a big lipstick girl last year I fell in love (literally) with the L'oreal Gold Obsession Lipstick in Nude Gold. Although it is a shade I would never normally go for (shimmery and pink), I LOVE IT! I think I have used it so much because you can throw it on with any makeup look and it still looks incredible.
Skincare - skincare thrills me (yes, I know it's weird)
1) SBC Gels - I've used these gels for years and I would recommend them to EVERYONE! My favourite for skincare are collagen (for moisture) and propolis (for healthy skin) and the arnica gel is great for my growing pains in my legs. They are water based gels so you can reapply them as many times as you want. SBC has so many different collections with skincare gels, bath/shower cremes and bath soaks for a variety of skincare needs!
2) LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub - I never used to get dry lips but this year they have been so chapped. I would use so much lip balm but they were still dry and I was starting to notice that my lipsticks were not applying smoothly. I bought this as a way to exfoliate my lips and it does! I love that you can eat it and it tastes like bubblegum (I'm easily pleased).
3) I buy so many handcreams and bodybutters, use them once or twice and then stuff them in a drawer and forget about them. I bought the Zoella Hungry Hands because it smells of gingerbread and now I can't stop using it. It makes my hands really soft and the smell is amazing. I definitely notice the difference when I haven't used it for a few days.
Brushes - Glossybox sent out some really good makeup brushes this year!
1)The Blank Canvas Cosmetics F20 brush is great for applying my foundation. It has a large surface area and buff the product into my skin to give a flawless, full coverage.
2) The Luxie 504 Large Angled Brush is amazing and great for contour. It's a great size is slightly tapered around the edges to blend product leaving a diffused and effortless look.
3) The Morphe M505 is my favourite eyeshadow blending brush because it is densely packed which blends out my eyeshadow evenly and quickly.
