Jaclyn Hill is an amazing Make Up Artist and as soon as I heard she was doing an eyeshadow palette collaboration with Morphe Brushes I knew I had to buy it!

The palette retailed for $27.99 and went on pre-sale at 12am January 1st 2015 as a limited edition palette. Being in the UK and with the time difference, I had to wait until 8am. Although I would have preferred to get it from 12am (being awake for New Years), it actually ended being a blessing in disguise!

Unfortunately, the Morphe website experienced problems with hackers who sent a lot of traffic to the website, making it incredibly difficult to get the palette.

I was sat at my laptop for 5 HOURS trying to get this palette, I was so determined to get it! I thought 5 hours was long, some people spent DAYS trying to get their hands on this! I applaud those people!

But, it finally arrived and it is gorgeous! Here is my review!

PACKAGING

I really like the packaging of this palette. It is so sleek and I love the matte black. It comes in a cardboard case with a picture of Jaclyn on the back with a little message from her. The palette itself is also incredibly sleek and very thin which I find very useful and travel friendly. It is cheap plastic but that doesn't really make any difference to me and I prefer that to cardboard.

Eyeshadows

Inside the palette you get 28 eyeshadows. The eyeshadows in the palette are Jaclyn's favourite SINGLE Morphe eyeshadows. Their regular palette's are different shadows to their single ones but this is a palette full of their singles. The overall quality of these eyeshadows are AMAZING! For the price, they are crazy pigmented and above and beyond anything you could expect for the price. The range of colours is also incredible and you can tell that so much time has been put into choosing the selection. There isn't a single eyeshadow that I would say is misplaced.

Overall, this is a very warm toned palette. Not something unexpected as this is Jaclyn Hill's favourite and she is not a cool toned person and neither am I so it's perfect for me. There are some cool shades in there which is nice and brilliant for creating for a multitude of looks.

ROW 1:

The first row of this palette contains some really gorgeous shadows! The first 3 are perfect highlight shades and there is something to suit all skin tones with champagne, bronze and pink tones which are all are shimmery. They are incredibly pigmented but also slightly harder to blend out. The orange shadow (second in from the right) is gorgeous! It is matte and super pigmented. I wasn't sure that I would be able use this one as it's not something I usually go for but it is perfect for warming up any look and blending out harsh lines.

ROW 2:

This is probably my favourite row of the entire palette, I am a sucker for neutral shades and I love brown shadows! The second in from the left is my favourite shade as it is the perfect transition shade because it is a light, matte, warm shadow. The two darker browns were slightly chalkier and powdery to swatch but nothing too extreme. The carrot shade is shimmery and super pigmented and perfect for placing on the centre of the eyelid for a pop of colour. If you're into rose shades then you will also love the first shade on this row which is a light dusty pink with light shimmer.

ROW 3:

This third row is super pigmented and is a mix of lights, darks, warm and cool tones. The first shade is a very intense pink, not something I usually use but it would be gorgeous as an inner corner highlight or even all over the lid. The second shade a rich cranberry/raspberry colour. Again, like all the other eyeshadows, this is incredibly pigmented but this one in particular is very powdery. The fourth shadow in is my second favourite of the palette because it is the perfect medium warm toned brown for me and I use it to warm up my crease. The last shade is a burnt copper shade which I used in my tutorial using this palette (link at top of this blog) and although it has a chalky texture, it applies so well and is incredibly pigmented.

ROW 4:

This row comes in at an incredibly close second for me because the colours are beyond amazing! They all take a little bit of building up to achieve their true colour but it is so worth it! The first colour is another shadow I used in my tutorial and although it has crazy fallout, it is pigmented and almost metallic which I love! The purples on this row are to die for and so versatile! The lilac is simply gorgeous . The second to last shade is another one of my favourites (I used it in this tutorial...I can see a pattern). It is a matte cranberry shadow and it is very smooth.

Overall, this palette is incredible and well worth every penny! In pounds it came to just under £15 which makes this nearly 50p an eyeshadow! For the range of colours, pigmentation and quality of this palette it is beyond perfect! If you get the chance to get your hands on this palette, don't hesitate!

I love it, I love Jaclyn Hill and I'm so glad I bought this!
