Fortune Favours The Brave Palette

Make Up Revolution is an ever expanding brand that is becoming even more popular daily! Overall their products are incredible and they bring such an affordable and impressive quality to the drugstore. I was so excited to review this palette and film a makeup look using it. I have only just been able to get my hands this palette from a Superdrug where it retails for £9.99. I hope you enjoy my review and check out my YouTube tutorial at the bottom of this post or by clicking here.

Fortune Favours The Brave Gold Packaging

The gold packaging makes a nice change from the usual black packaging of all of MUR's other palettes. It feels very sleek and I love the large gold emblem on the front and it stands out against my other eyeshadow palettes. This palette would be great to travel with as it is compact and sturdy but still holds 30 versatile using wearable eyeshadows for all occasions.

Variety of 35 eyeshadows with a large mirror

The inside of the palette contains a variety of 30 eyeshadows. There is a mix of neutrals, colours, mattes and shimmers so there is something for all occasions! Overall the shadows are very pigmented and blend well. There are some shadows that come off more pigmented than others and the same goes for blend-ability and chalkiness. The gold/bronze and marbled shadows are particularly pigmented and give such an amazing bold colour pay off. I often find it hard to find gold shadows that have the intensity that I want but this palette has at least four of them! The darker matte shades are less pigmented and more on the chalky side so if you want this for intense colours maybe this isn't the palette to go for.

Eyeshadow Names

The palette is split up into four different rows and the different colours and finishes are mixed in together. Row 1 is mainly made up of shimmer shadows and a mix of light and dark tones. The two gold shades in the centre are an example the incredibly pigmented shadows in this palette and are probably my two favourite shades!

Row 1: Glimmer, Buffer, Peachy, Hope, Fortune, Skylight, Transformer, Midnight Rainbow

Row 2 is once again full of very pigmented shades. The second shade is a marbled shadow which gives it it's almost duo-chrome intensity and the second to last shade is a gorgeous forest green eyeshadow with shimmer. The last shade is less pigmented as you can see but it is buildable and very good to build up intensity in the crease.

Row 2: Ice Cloud, Golden Coins, Cashmere, Tip Top, Yes Please, Green Machine, Smoothie

This third row is the only one that is a bit 'wishy-washy' for my liking but nevertheless it still contains some very shades. The first two are both neutral and matte - great for transition shades and blending out harsh lines. The second to last is once again a marbled shadow with a black base and a deep purple shimmer mixed in.

Row 3: Caffeine Fix, Latte, Pink Diamond, Creme, Drama Queen, Lonely Planet, Blacqua

Row 3: Caffeine Fix, Latte, Pink Diamond, Creme, Drama Queen, Lonely Planet, Blacqua

I would probably go as far to say that row 4 is my favourite row of the entire palette! Once again there are two highly pigmented gold shimmer shadows as well as two pink shimmers - my favourite! This row is the best overall for colour payoff, pigmentation and blendability in my opinion and contains a diverse range of shades.

Row 4: Soft, New World, Favour, Sunset Hour, Super Gold, Winning, Brave, The Revolution

This palette is definitely better than I expected it to be as I wasn't expecting such a variety of colours and finished in one palette. As I said earlier this would be great fr travel, in your make u kit or if your looking for one palette that has everything. The pigmentation and blend-ability is overall very good with the exception of around 3-4 shades maximum. The shimmers (in particular the gold shades) are beautiful and I would recommend buying this palette just for those alone! You can buy this palette from the Make Up Revolution website or at Superdrug.
